Albert Brown was born in Germany, December 13, 1862 and died on Friday, March 18, 1920. In 1885, he was married to Wilhelmina Bartel. This union was blessed with four children, of whom Carl and Albert have already passed into the great beyond.
Mr. Brown spent most of his married life between Dodge Center and Kasson on a farm with his family. In 1912 his wife died and the family was broken up. The last years of his life he spent with his son, Herman, at Rochester. The cause of his death was throat trouble. Aside from other relatives Mr. Brown leaves to mourn his departurea son, Herman, and a daughter, Mrs. C. F. W. Bartel, of Wautoma, Wis.
Funeral services were held from the Lutheran church, Saturday, March 21, 1920, Rev. Otto C Schultz officiating and burial took place in Riverside cemetery.

Wilhelmina Barthel Brown
Was born at Dramburg, Pommerania, Germany February 10, 1858 and died at Dodge Center, Minn. November 18, 1912 at the age of 54 years, 9 months, and 7 days.
In 1882 she came to America with her father, John Barthel, and two sisters making her home in Dodge County. After residing here for one year she went to Wisconsin where she remained for three years.
Here she was married to Mr. Albert Brown in 1885. Now she again moved to Minnesota spending the last 24 years of her life in Dodge County. Her husband and four children survive her, Herman Albert, Carl, and Anna. Besides that she leaves her aged father, one brother Mr. August Biegel and two sisters, Mrs. Carl Neinast and Mrs. Aug. Marquardt.
The funeral services were held from the German Lutheran Church, Wednesday afternoon and her earthly remains laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
