7. | His obituary was published on his Find-A-Grave Memorial on 06/21/2011. [9] William H. Mullenmeister, 97, of 103 Lind St., died Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Faribault Manor Health Care Center. A private Mass of Christian Burial was held this Saturday morning at Parker-Kohl Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Morin, pastor of St. Lawrence Church, officiating. Interment was in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault. William Henry Mullenmeister, the son of Joseph and Mary Mullenmeister, was born on Sept. 16, 1892, in Sleepy Eye. He received his formal eductiton in the Faribault schools. He married Venantia Hanegraaf on June 15, 1923, at St. Lawrence Church, Faribault. She preceded him in death in 1982. He was a veteran of World War I; was employed as a "pattern-maker" at Shaft-Pierce Shoe Co.; and served as a law enforcement officer for the city of Faribault for 24 years, retiring in 1961. As an officer, he played in major role in developing the "School Safety Patrol." He is survived by three children, William J. Mullenmeister of Melrose, Mass., Dorothy Mullenmeister of Faribault and Harold Mullenmeister of Austin; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael J. Mullenmeister in 1962; and a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Kathren) Sullivan in 1976. The family prefers memorials be directed to the National Law Enforcement Officers' Memorial Fund, 1360 Beverly Road, McLean, Va. 22101; or the school safety program through the American Legion; or the donor's choice.
