FRITZE, Alfred W. "Bill" Fritze, 74, of 62 Simon Rd., Enfield, died Monday (Nov. 14, 1994) at a local nursing home. He was born in Auburn, Mass., and had resided in Enfield for 44 years. Mr. Fritze was formerly employed by Rafferty & Brown Steel Co. for 40 years. He retired as a General Foreman in 1982. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member and past Commander of the Tanguay Magill American Legion Post No. 80, Enfield; a member of the VFW Post 5095, East Hampton; and a member of St. Bernard's Church, Enfield. Mr. Fritze was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Caron) Fritze, who died in 1988. He is survived by two sons, Alfred W. Fritze, II of Enfield, Steven H. Fritze if East Hampton; a daughter Karen Waryck of Groton; a brother, Rene Fritze of Enfield; a sister, Virginia Clark of Springfield, Mass.; and four grandchildren, Jeaton Matthew Putinas of East Hampton, Jason Fritze of Enfield, Allison Moore of East Hampton. Mr. Fritze was predeceased by a brother, Leo Fritze. Funeral Services will be Thursday, 9:15 a.m., from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., in St. Bernard's Church, 426 Hazard Ave., Enfield. Burial will be with military honors in St. Bernard's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Browne Funeral Chapels, Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Enfield Visiting Nurse Association, p.o. Box 1199, Enfield, 06083.
