Love will be sad indeed to hear of his death, which occurred in San Pedro, Sunday at 2 p. m. He was found unconscious at 6 o'clock Friday evening at the peach cannery where he was night watchman, and shortly after his arrival for his night's work. He never recovered consciousness until his death on Sunday. Mr. Love was about 65 years old. He was born on an ocean liner en route to this country from Scotland. Mr. Love was a resident of this city some nine or ten years ago, and had made his home for eight or nine years previous to that time on Fourth street, across from the Ramona hospital. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mary Love, daughter, Mrs. Gladys Merrill, of San Pedro, and a son, Burton Love, of Pittsburgh, Pa. Word of the death of Mr. Love was brought to this city by Mrs. Love's sister, Mrs. L. R. Clark, of 1101 Eighth street, who was with her sister at the time of Mr. Love's death and will return to San Pedro again today. Funeral arrangements are pending word from the son in Pittsburgh. |
