Mrs. Larsina Leitte
Mrs. Larsina Leitte, wife of Johanus Leitte, one of the early settlers of Burbank township dies at her home 8 miles north of New London on the seventh of this month. She was well until the day before her death, when she suffered a stroke of paralysis, surviving the same only 22 hours.
The deceased was born in Haugesund, Norway, 71 years ago, and arrived from the old country in the days of the early settlement, locating with her husgband on a homestead in the Township of Burbank, where the have resided ever since.
The deceased leaves to mourn her deah, husband and nine children--four sons--Thorkel Leitte of Colfax, Bendick and John Leitte of Benson and Charles Leitte of Morris; five daughters--Mrs. P. A. Andreen of Green Lake, Mrs. Albert Frankenberg of Lake Itasca, Mrs. Henry Teigeland and Mrs. Ole Kraabel of Alida, and Mrs. John Severade wo lives on the old homestead. All were present at the funeral except Mrs. Teigeland. The deceased leaves on brother and three sisters who reside in Norway and one sister in Canada. The obsequies took place Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the Crow River church, Rev. T. O. Tolo officiating. The pall bearers were T. Z. Newgard, T. S. Thompson, Stephen Olson, O. A. Olson, J. C. Saboe and Mr. Quam.
The funueral was held Tuesday, Sevices were held at the home at on o'clock p.m., and later at the Crow River church. Rev. T. O. Tolo conducted the last sad rites. The remains were interred in the Crow River Church cemetery.--New London Times.
