Thomas D. "Tom" Fritze, age 49 of Cottage Grove died Sunday afternoon January 29, 2010 at United Hospital in Saint Paul after a short illness. Tom was preceded in death by his mother Mary and his fiancée Judy Krenz.
He is survived by his father Gene of Oklahoma; brothers Terry of Lewisvill, TX, John (Sue) of Fowlerville, MI, Kenny of Inver Grove Heights; sister Brenda (James) Herrmann of Hampton; nephews Joshua and Jesse Fritze, Tucker and Morgan Herrmann and a niece Brittany Fritze. He is also survived by many aunts uncles, cousins and a group of lifelong friends.
Tom was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, gardening, canning and cooking out.
Memorial Service 4 PM Friday at Cottage Grove United Church of Christ; 7008 Lamar Ave with gathering time starting at 3 PM. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.

Judy Krenz
Judy L Krenz, 45, of Cottage Grove, Minn., and formerly of Eau Claire, died Wednesday, October 12, 2005, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. She was born in Milwaukee on September 22, 1960. the daughter of Julius and Evelyn (Bushendorf) Krenz. Judy graduated from North High School with the class of 1979, and then attended Chippewa Valley Technical College.
She was a creative and successful showroom manager designing bath and kitchen decorating at Ferguson Enterprises, in Hudson. She was an active gardener who enjoyed working in her flowerbeds and vegetable gardens at her home.
Judy is survived by her son, Jackson Bowen of Cottage Grove; mother, Evelyn Krenz of Eau Claire; sister, Brenda (Chris) Peterson of Eau Claire; niece Shannon (Steve) Vargo of Menomonie; nephew, Jake Van Vleet of Eau Claire; Aunts, uncles and cousins; and her companion, Tom Fritze of Cottage Grove.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Julius.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2005, at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel, Eau Claire with the Rev. David J. Irgens officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour prior to services Saturday at the church chapel.
