| 1. | His obituary was published on his Find-A-Grave Memorial on 07/23/2019. [1] John Paul Rud was born on June 13, 1942 in East Farmington, WI to Paul and Ethel (Schmidt) Rud. A graduate of Osceola High School, he joined the Army National Guard and was proud to have served our country. John was married to Barbara Anne (Long) Kulzer on March 27, 1971 at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. On November 14, 1972 they were blessed with the birth of their son Justin John Rud. John embraced Barb's three children; Gordon Kulzer (Marie), Debbie (Kulzer) Hanson (Bernie) and Jerrod Kulzer (Sheryl) as his own children. In addition to their children, he was blessed with 6 grandchildren - Tim Hanson (Kellie), Katie Hanson (Sam), Tessa Frantzen (Nick), Mike Hanson (Coralie), Scott Kulzer, Ally Meyer (Mikey); 7 great grandchildren - Mia Hanson, Teagan Wewers, Madison Hanson, Maci Meyer, Thomas Kelly, Avery Hanson, Tanner John Kelley and 2 great grandchildren arriving soon. At a young age, John began working for Andersen Windows, so young it required parental consent to begin. He was very proud of his 36 years on the job and told many stories about working in various departments during his career. His hobby was buying and selling "treasures". There was no greater salesman in the area than John. He enjoyed old cars, raising Siberian Huskys, Harley Davidson trike riding, snowmobiling, playing softball, time at the Big Lake cabins, his family & grandkids and time with the love of his life Barb Rud. John is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Anne Rud, son Justin John Rud, parents Paul and Ethel Rud, mother-in-law Grace Long. |

| 1. | Her obituary was published on her Find-A-Grave Memorial on 06/06/2019. [2] Barbara (Barb) Ann (Long, Kulzer) Rud was born on May 7, 1945 in St Peter, MN to Erwin and Grace Long. She grew up in mainly the Pine City area and eventually moved to Osceola, WI. Barb was married to Jerome (Jerry) Kulzer the summer of 1962. Barb and Jerry had 3 children - Gordie Kulzer (Marie), Debbie Hanson (Bernie) and Jerrod Kulzer (Sheryl). Due to a tragic car accident September 1969, Barb became a widow. In March 1971, Barb married John Rud. To us was born Justin Rud. In addition to her children, she is blessed with 6 grandchildren – Tim Hanson (Kellie), Katie Hanson (Sam Kelley), Tessa Frantzen (Nick), Mike Hanson (Coralie), Scott Kulzer, Ally Meyer (Mikey); 6 great grandchildren – Mia Hanson, Teagan Wewers, Madison Hanson, Maci Meyer, Thomas Kelley, Avery Hanson and 3 great grandchildren arriving soon. Family meant the world to Barb. She always enjoyed time doing fun activities with them like watching them play ball, hockey or basketball, hearing about snowboarding trips and watching the silly videos of what they tried to accomplish, getaways at the Big Lake cabin, special family Easter weekends playing PLINKO, Harley Davidson trike riding, snowmobiling, her children's cabins and best was watching her kids and grandchildren grow up. She was a very proud Wife, Mom and Grandma!! She enjoyed talking to her friends and family often, sometimes on the phone for hours at a time. She was competitive in her card games and always considered herself the winner when playing the boys. Barb was a strong woman, whose life was met with many challenges including tragedy at a young age. Her strength, spiritual guidance (and sometimes stubbornness), along with family and friends, she overcame many things. The past 10 years Barb has suffered health problems which grew larger and her body weakened. On June 5, 2019, Barb passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Regions Hospital at the age of 74. She will be greatly missed!!! Barb is preceded in death by parents Erwin and Grace Long, husband Jerome (Jerry) Kulzer, mother-in-law Olga Kulzer, father and mother-in-law Paul and Ethel Rud and dearest son Justin Rud. |
