Fritze, Gunther E. A.

Of Chestnut Hill, died August 21, 2014, age 78, while biking on Fishers Island. Beloved husband of Anita W. Fritze, devoted father of Mary E. F. Pollard, Johannes P. Fritze and Liese F. Brown, proud father-in-law of Chip, Camilla and Dave, "Papi" to seven grandchildren. He was a graduate of Milton Academy in 1954 and Harvard College in 1958. He was a member of the championship light weight crew that won the US nationals and at Henley. His love of rowing continued throughout his life. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 13th at 3pm, Church of the Redeemer, 379 Hammond Street, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467.
