A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Eastgate Steele Chapel, Steele, with the Rev. Thomas Krupich officiating. Inurnment will be in Eldridge Cemetery, Eldridge. Glendora Faith Altenburg was born Jan. 5, 1930 in Carrington, the daughter of Fred and Gertrude (Chadwick) Altenburg. She grew up and attended school near Owatonna, Minn. In the late 1940s she met and married Emil O. Wolff. They made their home in the Eldridge area. After Emil's death in 1978, Glendora moved to Steele, where she worked as a nurse's aide at the Golden Manor Nursing Home. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, C.J. and Brenda Wolff, Whitefixh, Mont.; two grand-children, Thomas J. Wolff, Park City, Ill., and Lisa Wolff, Mesa, Ariz.; and numerous close friends in the Steele area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; her parents; and one brother, LaVerne Altenburg.
