Services for Thomas English Held Monday

Thomas English, 69, of Anamosa, and a life-long resident of that community, dies late last week. He had been in failing health for several years. Services were held at the St. Patrick's Church in Anamosa, Monday, at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. P. J. Behan officiating. Burial was made in the family lot at Holy Vross cemetery.

His parents were pioneers of Jones county and the family ascquired extensive land interests east of Anamosa. He was unmariied. Surviving are one sister, Miss Bridget English, one brother, Andrew, both living east of Anamosa, several nieces and a sister-in-law.
