[3] John Herman Fritze passed from this life on Saturday, June 09, 2007, after reaching the age of 77 years and three days. He was born on June 06th, 1930 in Wichita, KS, the son of Herman Fritze and Emma (Eisenhut) Fritze. He served his country as a member of the U.S.A.F. from 1946 to 1949. John married Lois Ann Moore June 11, 1950. Together John and Lois raised three children. John earned his living as a contractor. He was active in the VFW in Winfield, KS prior to the family's move to the Tahlequah area in 1970. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Tahlequah, and he enjoyed fishing and reading. John was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, James Fritze and Robert Fritze. His memory will be treasured by his survivors: his beloved wife of over 56 years, Lois Fritze, of the home; his three children, son Johnny "Butch" Fritze of Park Hill, OK, son Michael Fritze and wife Dee of Park Hill, OK, and daughter Cherie Salazar and husband Robert of Owasso, OK; his sister, Rose Hermann and husband Leo of Wichita, KS; his grandchildren, Todd Salazar and wife Shawnda of Columbia, MO, Tessa Chesher and husband Scott of Owasso, OK, Nathan Fritze of Tahlequah, OK, Melenda Fritze of Cookson, OK, Michelle Fritze of Tulsa, OK and Sarah Fritze of Cookson, OK; his great-grandchildren, Kaleb Chesher, Samantha Salazar and Natalie Salazar; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family members, friends and loved ones. Formal visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, June 14th, 2007 at Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah. Interment will precede services at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 16th, 2007 at the Cookson-Proctor Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 16th, 2007 at First Lutheran Church, with Pastor Bruce Alberts and retired Pastor Robert Jackson officiating. |
