[14] Obituary, Wilhelm Stephen Fritze Wilhelm Stephen Fritze, the eldest son of Ludwig and Maria Fritze, was born February 6th, 1885 in Pleasant Grove Township, Floyd County. Ehwn six years of age he moved with his parents to Riverton Township, where he resided on the same farm 45 years, as farming was his life's vocation. Last March he moved to a farm near Carrville, where he had resided until his death, which ovvurred Tuesday, July 14th, at the age of 51 years, 5 months and 8 days. When four years of age he was christened in the Lutheran faith abiding by those teachings throughout his life. In the year of 1930, he was baptized at the Cedar River in the name of Jesus, following the teachings of Christ and taking much comfort in reading his Holy Bible. Mr. Fritze possessed a cheerful disposition which made him many friends always willing to lend a helping hand when any one was in trouble. He was a member of the I. O. O. F. Lodge No. 391 of Nashua, Iowa. Surviving are his aged father, two brothers, Fred Fritze, Berkeley, Calif., Charlie Fritze, Nashua; two sisters, Mrs. Elie Freeburg, Nashua, Mrs. Mary Wiess, Los Angeles, Calif., besides many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Roy Freeburg home, Rev. Tijalmer Sanson officiating. Internment was in Pleasant Valley cemetery. |
