Funeral Rites for Matthew English Are at Ryan Church

Manchester, IA.--The funeral of Matthew English, 59, well-known farmer of Hazel Green township, who died at his home Sunday night after a year's illness, was at St. Patrick's church, Ryan, Tuesday. Rev. M. J. Farrelly officiated.

Born on a farm near Anamosa, May 12, 1874, he was reared there, went to Indipendence later to work and married Eleanor Nelson there Sept. 14, 1905.

Surviving are the widow and the following shildren: Mrs. Howard Richmond, William and Miss Elsie English, Anamosa; Leo, Eleanot and Evelon English, at home. Surviving also are three grandchildren, two sisters, Misses Bridget and Mary English, and two brothers, Thomas and Andrew English, of Anamosa.
