Another Victim of Intemperance - Death of the Victim It is our painful duty to record the death of Martin Lueck of St. Mary, who expired Tuesday night at nine o'clock. On Monday last he visited this place and partook freely of liquor until he was entirely intoxicated. In the afternoon (his wife and one child being with him) he got into his wagon and attempted to turn around the team. In doing this he capsized the wagon and fell head first on the street - the woman jumping out with the child. He was taken up senseless and conveyed to his home in a very dangerous and critical condition, where he lingered in terrible agony, till this morning.

Thus it is. Alcohol claims its victims, and one after another they are ushered into eternity. They are soon forgotten and society goes forward still upholding the traffic which sends so many to a premature grave!

We are informed he leaves a wife and three children.
