PALMER, Lorimer Neil - 83, Morristown, Kings Co., died February 18, 1996, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.

Born in Morristown, Kings Co., he was a son of the late Rupert and Jessie (MorseTupper) Palmer. He had been a woodsman and a barrel maker in his early life and had owned and operated a swine and apple operation until recently. He was a member of Morristown United Baptist Church where he was a past member of the church choir.

Surviving are his wife, the former Vera Fritze; sons, Sherman, Lunenburg; Wendell, Niagara Falls, Ont.; Victor, Bramalea, Ont.; Ted, Morristown; daughter, Connie (Mrs. George Connors), Dartmouth; 10 grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; sister, Beatrice Nichols-Dobbs, Ontario; half-sisters, Muriel Haines, New Brunswick; Angie Rafuse, Parkdale, Lunenburg Co. He was predeceased by half-brother, Durwood Tupper; half-sister, Rosemond Tupper.

Visitation 7-9 p.m. tonight in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday in Morristown United Baptist Church, Pastor Margo MacDougall and Rev. John MacLeod officiating. Private family burial in Morristown Cemetery. Reception to follow in church hall. Family flowers only. Donations to any charity.

PALMER, Alice Vera Elizabeth "Vera" - Morristown, Kings County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2003, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Lunenburg, she was a daughter of the late A.E.L. and Matilda (Joudrey) Fritze. Vera taught school for many years in numerous schools in Lunenburg and Kings Counties, and had helped on the family farm. Vera was a memberof the Morristown Women's Auxiliary for many years and faithfully attended the Morristown Baptist Church for many years, always making donations to many charities and organizations. She was caring and thinking of others and especially enjoyed family gatherings. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her loving children, Sherman (Valerie) Palmer, Lunenburg; Wendell (Joan) Palmer, Niagra Falls, ON; Ted (Toni) Palmer, Bramlea, ON; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Lorimer Palmer; brothers, Victor, Dr. Otto, Reverend Carroll and Charles Fritze. Visitation held Tuesday, March 11, in the H. C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, in the Morristown United Baptist Church, Reverend Brian Wheaton officiating. Burial in the Morristown Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in Vera's memory may be made to the Heart ans Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Cancer Society or any charity.
