Julius Theodore Hamm was the son of Henry and Clara (Bergsicker)Hamm. Graduated from Concordia Lutheran Seminary. Served as Pastor/teacher in Sweet Springs, MO 1885-87 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Was the first pastor of the St. James Evangelical Lutheran (now Allen's Chapel) in Honey Grove, TX where he met his future wife, "Tracy". His next church was in Cushing, OK where he married Theresa Bauer on 27 Dec 1903 in Cushing. His next church was in Salibury, MO and finally settling in Granite City, IL. Father of Oscar, Lillian, Malfred & Arthur Hamm.
